Description

During the Cold War Era, math, science and technology curriculum in Fulton County was bolstered by funding from the federal government's National Defense Education Act of 1958. The state of Georgia was one of the first to receive support and although initial funds were directed at curriculum in the high schools, programs in education were added to elementary schools in the subsequent years.
