World Letters was published in 1937-1938. George Pierrot, a broadcaster from Detroit, travelled from the US to Ireland, where he began a trip throughout Europe and the Middle East, finally ending his journey in India. At several points along the way, Pierrot wrote letters to students in the US to introduce them to the cultures of each country he visited.
