Description

Superintendent of Fulton County Schools, Jere A. Wells, requested that all school personnel granted military leave during World War II correspond with his office during their service.

Mildred McFall, a French and Spanish teacher at North Fulton High School, served with the US Navy's Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service (WAVES). By the end of the war, she would be a recruiter for the outfit in the Southeast.
